AI is being used to write books, and people are publishing them. Some people are worried that it will weaken the quality of books or overwhelm an already overwhelmed market.

It’s hard enough competing with the thousands of books published every day. Add AI-generated books to the mix, and how will anyone make a living?

The fact of the matter, most people don’t.

Thank to the long tail, the number of authors making a living is insignificant to those writing books that barely a penny.

What does that mean for the majority of writers?

You can relax and get back to the enjoyment of telling stories, treat as a hobby. Embrace it for pleasure. Rediscover the joy of writing.

AI is here, but it doesn’t stop us from still showing up on the page and sharing the ideas in our heads. That’s one thing AI can never replace.
