Insecurity

Another lesson from Dr. K and Squeex:

Insecurities are a dangerous thing:

If someone calls you an elephant, you probably don't give it a second thought because you never thought of yourself as an elephant.

But... if you ever think you look like an elephant, even for the slightest moment, then it hurts and begins to gnaw away at you.

The initial response may be to attack the other people ("I don't look like an elephant. You do!"). Or you start to doubt yourself and what you did when you were called an elephant.

The real solution is to face the insecurity and come to terms with it. Maybe even accept it.

As you move creatively through this life, people will say many things, some of which might hurt. By working on yourself and your insecurity and facing the pain, you will build a solid foundation that no one can shake.
