Long weekends
Holidays tend to disrupt our writing schedules. Friends and family are around, and we’re busy having fun. Canada Day long weekend is no exception.
So why am I here with a blog post?
1. The bar is low. I aim for 250 words. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
2. It become so much a part of the routine I don’t want to miss it.
This post is not about patting myself on the back. It’s more me realizing how small, simple daily habits I barely noticed helped me be more consistent.
One final story: I remember reading how Stephen King would write 365 days of the year, even Christmas. I don’t think it makes him unique. By then, I think it had become so much of a habit he had no other choice.
