Travel days are the worst for me.
I don’t know how people make it work.
The trip is four hours and a good chunk of the day. I leave in the morning so that I arrive between noon and 4 o’clock, depending on the day.
But by the time I arrive, I’m usually tired and can only do physical tasks. I’ll empty the car, put food away, wash the laundry. That’s all easy. But sit down and write? No, thank you.
I’m certain someone has some advice—and I’ll listen—but I can’t guarantee I’ll take it.
Until then, I will have to bend my writing schedule around those days. Write early, write often, and plan beforehand.
