  1. I'm a big fan of Seth Godin and he's recently released a new book about creativity called The Practice. You should also listen to Pay the Writer from his Akimbo podcast, and his interview with Brian Koppelman.
  2. Kottke shared how Tom Stoppard rewrote a significant part of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade under a pseudonym. If you really want to get into the details, the writer of the article, Mike Fitzgerald, wrote a deep comparative analysis of the two drafts, including graphs and spreadsheets (be still my beating heart!).
  3. Author Will Maclean signed 1000 books, and included one word in each one. Assembled together, they'll make a short story.
  4. This is an old one but a favourite of mine: Course syllabi by famous authors. I love David Foster Wallace’s literary analysis of popular fiction.
  5. And finally, "Prisencolinensinainciusol" was a song composed by Italian singer Adriano Celentano, intended to sound to its Italian audience as if it is sung in English spoken with an American accent. Here are the lyrics and it gets better with the video.

Thank you for reading, and have a great week.
