We're really hoping that your characters succeed.
That they overcome whatever stands in their way, whether it's themselves or the world around them.
We want them to succeed because we want to succeed. If they can figure it out, then maybe so can we.
But this doesn't mean you always have to make it work out. Sometimes it's better if your characters don't get what they want or only get a part of it.
But also understand how much we care for them. If they fail, it hurts us, maybe even more than you realize.
A well-told story gives us hope and faith that we can do it. Keep this in mind when you put yours on the page.
