What is your bottom line?
What would it take for you to feel you did a good day of writing? If you’ve been at it for a while, it might take several hours.
But what about someone just starting? Should it be the same? Probably not.
But what is enough? One hour? Twenty minutes? If you’re struggling with that, maybe it is still too much.
Maybe it’s two minutes. Perhaps it’s a sentence. Possibly it’s just opening up the book and sitting at it for a minute.
Your bottom line is up to you, but make it something doable. And then, over time, it may expand and grow to twenty minutes, one hour, or several.
But knowing your bottom line, knowing what would be the one step above nothing, is the first step on your writing journey.
