Your outline doesn't have to be finished
Once you start writing your book, it doesn't mean you have to be done with the outline.
Outline are maps, your action plan through your story. But once you begin working on it, that plan can change. You may discover exciting detours or interesting roadblocks. You may even find that you no longer want to go to the original destination.
That's where your outline comes in handy.
You can remap it and plan new stops along the way. You can reroute to a whole new endpoint. Your map isn't written in stone but can grow and evolve as you write your story.
The outline doesn't have to be finished until your story is—and you may even alter it afterward. It's a constantly growing plan.
